Volume ProfileBeginner
VPOC, Value Area, HVN & LVN
The fairest price, and the nodes price accepts or rejects.
The VPOC is the price with the most traded volume — the fairest, most-accepted price. Around it, the Value Area holds ~70% of volume, edged by VAH and VAL.
- HVN (High Volume Node) — a fat bar; a zone of acceptance where price tends to stall and rotate.
- LVN (Low Volume Node) — a thin bar; a zone of rejection that price tends to move through quickly and that often marks the edge between two distributions.
- VPOC — a strong reference; a shift of the VPOC signals a change in where the market sees value.
Practically: expect reactions at HVNs, expect speed through LVNs, and treat the VPOC as a pivot for the session.
Volume-profile references sit right beside footprint and market profile in AlgoPloy, so you can line up all three lenses on one symbol.
